BREADFIELD is an artist run gallery showcasing the work of contemporary artists from around the globe and a free paper which focuses on examining and understanding different elements of photography projects, from the conceptualization stage through to creation and eventually dissemination. What motivations and, more importantly, what processes and thoughts lie behind the creation of photobooks and exhibitions? Breadfield attempts to locate the photographic genius without killing it. As an outgrowth of all of the above, the subsequent step of establishing a home-grown publishing house was recently realized, and so you are now also able to acquire our first photobooks.
Breadfield encompasses much more as well. In our gallery you will find a photography bookshop with signed editions and a framing workshop for your precious prints. In addition to hosting happenings in our gallery space, we also take part in photography-related events internationally.
